Svaroopa Yoga with Sandy:
Svaroopa® Yoga, one of the primary styles of yoga in America, is known for its compassionate approach to profoundly transformative work with the body, mind and emotions.
It is widely recognized as a powerful tool for promoting healing and personal transformation, as well as opening inner levels of transcendent experience.
In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali uses the word svaroopa to name the inner experience of consciousness that is the goal of yoga. Svaroopa means “the Bliss of your own Being.” In Sutra 1.3 he says, “tadaa drashtuh svaroope ‘vasthanam,” promising that the moment your mind becomes quiet, you will abide in the bliss of your own being.
Svaroopa facilitates flexibility by releasing the body into support utilizing pillows, blankets, and other props. Poses are held with emphasis on skeletal alignment, awareness and breathing. This inward focused, meditative approach to yoga uses props to bring you into deep angles that open the body at its core.

Pawanmuktasana Series
The Pawanmuktasana practice is an ancient series of yoga poses which opens all the joints; moves all the bones and muscles of the body; improves circulation; cleans toxins and waste products from tissues; improves vitality, mental and emotional states. It is a 2 1/2 hour practice offered as a special event, usually on a Saturday night. If interested please contact Sandy.

Helpful Information, policies, missed classes and general information Sandy wants to share with you:
Svaroopa Yoga is an excellent class for adults and teens 15 years or older who are looking for stress reduction, relaxation and greater levels of flexibility and centered awareness. As a new student you are welcome to do a drop-in to one of my Beginner classes to be sure this is the right style for you, and before committing to a session. Committing to a weekly yoga practice will afford you more reliable change and a deepening of your yoga practice in both your body and your mind.
Make-ups for missed classes are available within the session with me in another class or with the other Svaroopa yoga teacher Caroline Kutil, please refer to the schedule for times.
Please dress comfortably in nonrestrictive clothes, in layers if desired. For comfort, eat lightly if at all before class. Please do not wear perfume or aftershave. We supply blankets, pillows, blocks, and other tools for yoga.
So just bring yourself!!.
If you have questions please feel free to contact me at deerwoman44@yahoo.com or

Ganesha Lord of the mind, Ganesha represents supreme wisdom. He is the remover of Obstacles preventing and permitting events to assist souls in their evolution. Ganesha is the keeper of the divine plan of past, present, and future….and Patron of the Arts and Sciences. His rule is compassion, His disciplines strong. Take refuge in His strength and His wisdom for all good comes from Him.
