Svaroopa Yoga with Caroline:
Svaroopa Yoga is a powerful transformative practice that produces profound changes in the body by decontracting areas of habitual tension and holding, especially in the sacrum, tailbone and low back. It facilitates flexibility by releasing the body into support rather than by exertion. Poses are held with emphasis on skeletal alignment, awareness and breathing. This inward focused, meditative approach to yoga uses props to bring you into deep angles that open the body at its core.

Helpful Information, policies , drop-ins, missed classes and general information Caroline wants to share with you.:
I welcome new students to all of my classes, but I really appreciate knowing in advance that you will be coming to make sure that my class is the best match for you. If at all possible, please call me at 508-481-2559 or e-mail me at CLKpink@aol.com at least 1 day before the class you wish to attend will be held.
You are also welcome to attend one of my Free Friday classes or special event workshops as a way to see the studio, meet me and learn more about the style of Yoga I teach and more about Earthsong Yoga Studio. In the hallway just to the right of the studio door there are individual brochures for each teacher with class schedules and fees and information about special events.
Once you have visited a class you will experience deeper, more sustainable results by committing to a regular class on a certain day and time of the week. This allows your body to adapt to the habit that you are gifting to yourself. If you have some scheduling difficulties that you know about ahead of time, such as travel or child care issues, I can pro-rate the class fee for you, but you must speak to me about this. If you miss a class that you have paid for, you are welcome to do a make-up within that session but I do recommend that you stay with the style of yoga that you have signed up for by attending another Svaroopa class with Sandy Courtney or with me on another day or time.
Svaroopa Yoga is an excellent class for adults and teens 15 years or older who are looking for stress reduction, relaxation and greater levels of flexibility and centered awareness. The Sunday night class has often had teens and parents attending together. Students who consider themselves elderly, stiff or inactive will feel very comfortable in my classes as long as they are physically able to climb the stairs to access the studio and are able to move from lying down to sitting up or standing up and back down again, and who have normal range of motion and balance.
My Svaroopa classes are not tailored to the needs of pre-natal students, and I encourage women who are pregnant to join ongoing pre-natal classes. However, if you are already taking one of my classes and become pregnant, you will be able to continue to attend that class for as long as you wish.
Please check the directions page for landmarks as there is no sign on the street level. We are across the street from the red Soveriegn bank sign at 186 Main Street in Marlboro. Main Street is between East Main Street and West Main Street.
Please see our policy page for more information about class practicalities before you register.

Yoga practices are rituals for the sanctification of ordinary life.
If you practice yoga long enough, nothing is ordinary anymore. -- Caroline Kutil
