7 Chakras Bringing Body, Mind and Spirit Together

Kundalini Yoga's approach to the 7 Chakras, which are energy based centers of the body that go along with the endochrine system.
Our energy is always changing, and this is a way of being aware of those changes and addressing each Chakra.
You will learn how the energy changes and manifests whether it is blocked or flowing.
There is a Kriya (a series of exercises) and a Meditation to address the energy of each of the 7 Chakras.

Kundalini comes from the root word “kundal” which means “the lock of the hair from the beloved”. The uncoiling of this “hair” is the awakening of the kundalini energy. Kundalini yoga encompasses the eight limbs of yoga and all seven branches of yoga: Raja yoga, Hatha yoga, Karma yoga, Jnana yoga, Mantra yoga, Tantra yoga, and Bhakti yoga. Activating the kundalini energy is the ultimate purpose in all forms of yoga, and kundalini yoga was designed to be fast and powerful working directly at raising the kundalini energy. Yoga is the science of the self and kundalini is the awakening of the self. Practicing Kundalini yoga stimulates and balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and increase overall internal health. You can develop a stronger and more flexible body increasing muscle tone and length. You will also learn the tools to calm and focus the mind for increased clarity of thought, direction and strength. Come experience the transformational and harmonious blend of traditional Kundalini yoga kriyas and meditation with hatha yoga asanas and relaxation. Learn the tools needed to combat mental and physical fatigue for your fast paced modern life.

Anma (Jaquelyn Gordon) HeadshotJackie Gordon/Anma has been involved with the Power of Yoga and Meditation for 17 years. She has been a certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga for 8 years.
 In 1989, as an Artist, after not painting for 15 years - she began a serious commitment to Yoga and soon began painting in a new way.
She believes in the beauty of all Yoga and particularly Kundalini Yoga - which is the oldest Yoga and called a "Sacred Science". She has studied complimentary forms of medicine and therapy for 30 years and feels that Kundalini Yoga provides an Emotional and Physical foundation for one's Life and Creativity - whatever that may be.
 She uses the name "Anma" in honor of her 2 Great Grandmothers and 2 Grandmothers - all exceptionally Strong Women.

Please check the directions page for landmarks as there is no sign on the street level. We are across the street from the red Soveriegn bank sign at 186 Main Street in Marlboro. Main Street is between East Main Street and West Main Street.
