Integral Hatha Yoga and Stress Reduction:
Hatha Yoga is classic Yoga, which combines elements of breath work, Asana (physical practice) and meditation. It is gentle and beautiful and honors the individual body and spirit.
Class will start with centering, including a chant, breath work followed by asanas, a period of relaxation and ending with either a chant or thought for the day.
Parent Child Yoga:
The younger years are a wonderful time to become involved in yoga. For those are physically active or involved in organized sports, the strength and flexibility that yoga provides can enhance performance and enjoyment as well as decrease the propensity for injury. For those not so athletically inclined, yoga can offer a positive avenue for self discovery in mind, body, and spirit.
With all of the demands imposed upon the youth of today, the physical movement and the meditation inherent in the practice of yoga can supply a means of relieving and controlling stress and developing a positive body image.

Mary Scott:
Mary Scott has been a student of Yoga for about 30 years. She currently runs a restaurant with her husband, but has always been a teacher. In the past she was a fitness trainer who competed in running and biking events. Later she was a preschool and special needs teacher in both public and private schools. She often brought aspects of yoga to her curriculum.
Mary intensified her yoga practice about 10 years ago. She found it was helping her work through some nagging sports injuries, but became so excited by the benefits she received from breathwork and meditation. This solidified yoga as a lifestyle for her.
Mary became certified in “Frog Pond Yoga” at the Frog Pond School in Princeton MA. Mary is a 200 hour RYT and affiliated with the Mass. Yoga Alliance.
Recently Mary completed a teacher training in Yoga Trance Dance with Shiva Rhea at Kripalu Center in western MA. She is excited about bringing this new dimension to her teaching of teens and adults.
She is also available for private instruction.
The best way to reach Mary is by phone, at 508-523-2172.
