Anusara Inspired™ Yoga:
This class introduces asana (poses), universal alignment principles, breathing techniques, philosophy and history. Classes have a heart centered theme and focus on standing poses, forward bends, backbends, inversions and twists. This beautiful style of yoga mingles the pulses and flow of breath and movement. It fosters an approach that looks for beauty in us all. Classes contain a combination of postures that work to enhance the over all strength and flexibility of each student. This practice builds a strong supple body to step out into the world. We endeavor to advance each asana working in cooperation and peace with our mind, our body and our spirit. Practice is an opportunity to honor and engage with the best of yourself.
Students of all abilities and experience levels are welcome, but this class is especially geared to those new to yoga.

Helpful Information and Policies from Mary:
Attendance Guidelines: Anusara Inspired Yoga Class is a great way to celebrate your best self in movement. Sessions are open to adults seeking hatha yoga that celebrates each individual as part of a community of the heart. The alignment principles of this style of hatha yoga allow a consistent approach to a wide number of asana. Committed study offers me an ongoing opportunity to engage with life more fully and enjoy improved flexibility and strength. I look forward to sharing this practice with you. I know from experience consistent practice brings the most benefit.
New Students are always welcome to join drop in and try a class any time during the session. Session Fees will be prorated based on when you join. Please try to arrive early for your first class so we can meet and talk. I want to be sure there is time to answer any questions you may have and understand any health concerns or injuries that might impact your practice. That way we can work together to ensure you can fully engage in and enjoy the class.
Please dress comfortably in clothes that stretch and move. I ask that students do not wear perfume or aftershave to class as it may impact other students. Before class eat lightly if at all, and hydrate yourself. Feel Free to bring your own mat. Mats and other props are provided for use at the studio by EarthSong. Drinking Water is also available at the studio. For Questions about the class or this wonderful style of yoga please e-mail me at mes@gis.net.
Please check the directions page for landmarks as there is no sign on the street level. We are across the street from the red Sovereign bank sign at 186 Main Street in Marlboro. Main Street is between East Main Street and West Main Street.
When registering for the session, the class is offered at a pre-paid discounted rate of $12 per class for a 75 minute class and $10 per class for a 60 minute class. If you would prefer the convenience or dropping in due to your schedule requirements, the drop-in fee is $14 for the 75 minute or $12 for 60 minute class, contingent on available space.
